What is SyncML?
SyncML is a data synchronization protocol promoted by the Open Mobile Alliance, whose current members include IBM, Microsoft, Intel, and major mobile devices manufacturers. SyncML specifies a standard way to synchronize data between mobile devices and a server, enabling seamless synchronization of PIM (contacts, events, tasks, notes, email) data from SyncML enabled devices to a server. Most of the modern models of Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Siemens, Samsung, LG, NEC, Panasonic, etc., are SyncML enabled.
